Condolences to the Merrill famly.
Kay and Family,
Meeting and working with General Merrill, training Loaned Executives during the United Way Campaign in 1999, was a highlight of my career and has remained a bright spot in my life. General Merril was such a delight to know and it was an honor for me to work with him. He frequently spoke of his family, especially his grandchildren and Papa School, and it was clear that family was the priority in his life and that he delighted in you! My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to the family. Praying for God's peace, comfort, and strength to cover and sustain you.
Many years ago Tom Merrill was my Sunday
school teacher. One of his teachings was: Pray as if it all depended on God, and work as if it all depended on you. I think of this often. He was an excellent teacher and a class act of a man. I send my condolences to his family and his many friends.
I remember very fondly my experiences working with Tom at Williamson Merrill Taylor & Darling. He was talented, generous, insightful, devoted to making a real difference, and always a gentleman. We had many lunches at the country club eating black eyed peas and greens, talking project strategy and figuring out how to make good things happen for our clients. He was a real pillar of the community, and I will never forget the many things I learned from him. Rest in peace.
Kay, my father, Jim Head was a great admirer of Tom's. They had a special bond with Rotary. He will be missed by so many. My thoughts are with you and your family. Virginia and Phil Lavallet
On behalf of the Buster & Alice Miles family we extend our love to the Merrill family. Tom was an inspiration to so many. We love you all, Matt Miles & family
As MG Merrill's Aviation Officer and pilot in the 87th MAC, I flew him to the units that we were exercising. We had a lot of good times during those trips.
As my commander, I always held him in the highest regards and respected him greatly. I will never forget him.
Jack Martin, COL (Ret)
