Janie worked for my twin brother, Dan Hartley, at Southtrust bank. Dan used to kid her about being (Steve's Mom). It was a joy to be in her teller line

My Dear Sweet Mom,
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and the sweet memories you left for me to remember the rest of my life. I can still hear your voice in my mind the many times I would call for advice from raising my daughters, cooking, being a wife or just lending your ever so caring ear to listen to whatever was on my mind that day. Your words back to me were never of pity, but words of wisdom, love and comfort which made me a stronger person. You were always there to help me during our many relocations; unpacking boxes, hanging pictures, cleaning, or just giving me constant encouragement and support! I could not have done it without you!! I only hope that I will always be as strong and patient as you were! God is so good to have blessed me with such an amazing mom who has been such a role model for me and your granddaughters! They loved their grandnonnie so much!

Steve and Family, so sorry to hear of your loss. A Mom in such a precious thing, so I know your heart is hurting. I will certainly keep you in my prayers.

Mr. Whitman and family,

My sincere condolences on Mrs. Whitman's passing. I remember her from her SouthTrust Bank days in Roebuck and how proud she was of her family. She was a beauty through and through. Always had a kind word and a beautiful/sincere smile when speaking to folks. I remember Steve and Michelle from Huffman High. May the good Lord comfort and strengthen all of you.
