I was a high school sophomore at Gadsden High School in November, 1963. Coach O'Linger was my B team basketball coach. He did not know squat about basketball, but he could teach you how to play hard, work hard and always try hard. I am still proud that I was able to survive his practices and earn his respect. I have seen him over the years and he always remebered me. I'm a better person because of Coach John O'Linger, my friend.
