Dear Smith Family,
I am shocked and saddened to hear of Dewey's passing.I remember lots of happy times with Dewey back at Pratt City Baptist Church...our softball and volleyball games, church choir and after church activities including cruising in Dewey's old black, fastback 49 Chevy with the gang after evening services. If not for a family reunion to attend tomorrow in Jemison I would be there to honor him.I'm smiling now thinking of the family reunion he is enjoying now.God comfort and bless the family.

Dewey was not only a co-worker with BellSouth for many years but also a good friend. He was a jovial person and the most meticulously organized person I ever met. I have been recalling good memories of Dewey all morning...

May God bless his soul and comfort his family.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Worked with Dewey at BellSouth. He always had a smile on his face.

Sorry for your loss - Hard to believe - I first met Dewey at the old Valley No. 5 X-bar Central Office back in 1971 - we were both new switchmen. Worked together in Forestdale and a few other places- what a talker- he will be missed.

I can speak for all my old BellSouth Network Operations Friends. " We all loved Dewey!" I bet Dewey and Ed Smith are laughing it up in heaven now.
