Jethro was a friend since he was in Michigan. One summer he stayed at our while my wife and I were in Africa. He took care of our cat which he fed every time the cat acted hungry. The cat was happy and very fat by the time we got home. We kept in contact and I phoned him now and again in Korea. He had told me of his illness and when I could no longer reach him by phone I feared the worst but I was hesitant to learn what I feared had happened. So I put off an internet search until a few months ago. Jethro was a wonderful friend. I enjoyed his humor and his kindness. I think of him often and always with regret that he was so far away. My condolences to his family.

Jethro and I were classmates at Yale, and we'd meet again at various auditions again over the years. Very saddened to learn of his passing. Deepest condolences to his family.

Jethro and I were close friends at the University of Alabama. Together with our mutual friend, Shari Harris, we were often referred to as something like the "3 musketeers". I'm saddened to learn of his death. We used to have such wonderful conversations and I turned pages for his accompanist for his senior recital. I met his family and they were kind and generous people. Even though it's been years since I've seen him I feel as though I've lost a brother. My deepest sympathy to the Woodson family.

I played 2nd bassoon to his 1st in the Plymouth (MI) Symphony while he was a student at U Mich. He was an amazing talent with a great sense of humor. We had lots of fun playing together. I lost track of him after he graduated and am so saddened to be reminded of him with a death notice. I know he had set his goals high and worked hard. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and many friends.
