Jethro and I were classmates at Yale, and we'd meet again at various auditions again over the years. Very saddened to learn of his passing. Deepest condolences to his family.

Jethro and I were close friends at the University of Alabama. Together with our mutual friend, Shari Harris, we were often referred to as something like the "3 musketeers". I'm saddened to learn of his death. We used to have such wonderful conversations and I turned pages for his accompanist for his senior recital. I met his family and they were kind and generous people. Even though it's been years since I've seen him I feel as though I've lost a brother. My deepest sympathy to the Woodson family.

I played 2nd bassoon to his 1st in the Plymouth (MI) Symphony while he was a student at U Mich. He was an amazing talent with a great sense of humor. We had lots of fun playing together. I lost track of him after he graduated and am so saddened to be reminded of him with a death notice. I know he had set his goals high and worked hard. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and many friends.

Jephania, may the peace and love of God abide with you and your family during this difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear that Jethro had passed away. We were classmates at the Yale School of Music and had several classes together. I remember being impressed by his passion and dedication to the bassoon and how much he practiced! I have a very clear memory of attending an all Schumann piano concert given by Murray Perahia at Woolsey Hall with a group of YSM students and Jethro sat next to me. The performance was so amazing that Jethro turned to me and said "Where is this man from, heaven?" I'll never forget that. Jethro had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making me laugh, sometimes with just a look. He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family.
