He happily worked there for over twenty years, until the store closed its doors in 1996. He enjoyed many interests including traveling the world with his family, and later with his wife, to destinations which included camping in the Amazon Jungle, Machu Pichu, the Great Wall of China, and the Great Pyramids. He always brought home souvenirs from his travels, which he jokingly referred to as his "treasures". He had a great love of animals and wildlife, in particular his beloved West Highland Terriers. He had a green thumb, and found solace in maintaining the beautiful foliage on the property of his home. His home was a great source of pride, and where many elaborate affairs and special holidays took place. It was at these services where he met, and later married, Judy, who also lost her battle to breast cancer. He fought a long and brave battle with Alzheimer's and Leukemia. Graveside Service will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, The American Cancer Society-Breast Cancer Research, or the Alzheimer's Research Foundation would be welcome and appreciated.
