Moving to the " big city" of Jackson from a small town in Winston County was a scary experience for a boy like me. Mrs . Blood along with Mr. Thorn and Mrs. Miller were immensely helpful to me in the transition. She was a wonderful teacher and lady. " Oh what a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon the face of the One who saved me by His Grace".

She was my favorite teacher. She had a big impact on me. God bless her and her family.

We have often wondered about our dear, sweet, Watkins Elementary 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Blood, of more than 50 years ago. Obviously she went on to lead a life that not only fit, but exceeded, our memories of this very special person. No surprise!

Mrs. Blood was my teacher in 1965. Her favorite Bible verse was PS 19:14 and we recited it every morning. She was a fine Christian lady. May God bless and keep you all during this time.
