Mrs. Hollins was one of my favorite teachers at Washington school. She taught all of her students to write in cursive, and all of us still write as she taught. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Robert and family, please accept my condolences on the transition of Mrs. Hollins. She was not only my teacher, but was a good friend of my mother, Ernestine Leggett. She and all the teachers of their era are truly missed. The love and concern for the WHOLE child is no longer there. May the comfort that only God can provide and the knowledge that through her love for Him and His grace and mercy she will have eternal life and peace, comfort you at this time.

My sister and I along with my cousins were taught by Mrs. Jones. We knew that we had to set a good example, mainly because Mrs. Jones taught our mothers and their other siblings. We had several other teachers at Washington Elementary School that taught our parents and taught us as well. Mrs. Jones has now made her transition and will start a brand new life. May you find comfort in the word of God as you go about your day to day life.

Mrs. Hollins was a special educator, almost non existent today. She touched so many lives and hearts during her tenure at Wasington Elementary. We are blessed to have been taught by her. Longevity is a gift from God and very few are granted it. May God give you peace during this time. Mrs. Hollins truly was a blessing to our education!
