I am truly sorry for the loss of beloved Marietta. She and my mother were the best of friends for many decades. She always talked fondly about, when they were girls, how they giggled when the nuns mispronounced Fourroux as "Four Rocks" in parochial school. They were blessed to have been allies in life for so many bittersweet decades. My mom comforted Marietta when Marietta lost Henry, understanding the pain of Marietta's loss and her suffering. Marietta truly loved her five beautiful children. She was always eager, with a demure smile, to fill us in on her family. She loved being a matriarch with French flair. She loved her Lord, and served Him well. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out. Be at rest, Marietta. Much love, joy, and peace to your beloved family in this dark hour.

I remember your mother as a kind and gentle lady. I am very sorry for your loss but I believe, as with my parents, your mom and dad are happy to be together again. May God be with you and give you comfort, my prayers are with you all.

A lovely lady with a beautiful, generous family. Whenever I visit Our Lady of Lourdes Church, I marvel at the work and effort this family contributed.

May you rest in peace, Marietta, along with your Henry.
