I had the great pleasure of knowing Mona in our formative years. We are products of the city of Monticello, Arkansas. We were classmates, played basketball and were a part of the school family (classes of 1950 and 1951.)
In later years we exchanged things to laugh about and things that made us sad.
Mona worked very hard for successful class reunions and never missed a one of them. I will miss our telephone calls, e-mails and those personal hugs.
On behalf of the MHS classes of 1950 and 1951, I send our deepest sympathy to Mona's family.

May you rest in peace, Mona. Rosie and I will forever miss you and the kindness you brought to our reunions and the laughter you brought to my emails. "Pill" Hogue, Dallas

I only met Mona once and she was such a sweet & caring woman. A woman we gladly added to our Southern Families! She even sent me a blue bottle for my bottle tree. Wish I had known her longer, she fit right into our families. I know you will miss her, Rhonda. Love, Cookie
