Amy Long Obituary

Amy Long, of Hoover, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018, at age 37. She was born December 16, 1980, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Amy was a 1999 graduate of Hoover High School and loved music. During her youth, she won national awards in dance. Amy lived in Jacksonville, Florida, for 10 years where she was in the Sandalwood High School color guard. She was also an avid North Carolina Tar Heel fan. Amy was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Amy is survived by her son, Aaron D'Angiolillo; her parents, Wayne and Donna Long; a brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Karin Long and their children, Chloe, Leif, Eleanor, and Ripley. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 12-1 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The service will follow in the chapel at 1 PM with Debbie Ward officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).

My dear sweet Amy, I sure do wish we could have more conversations at 2 AM when you always knew how would answer and listen to the pain you are living with. You never really understood how precious you are and how much you were loved by so many here we are still loving you and missing you. I pray that in happen you were looking down on your wonderful son Aaron and on your mom and dad Donna and Wayne. I know you would be so proud of air and his many accomplishments. You really gave the world a lot when you left him and all the others said lovely behind. All I can do is pray for your soul which I now knowe're Chattanooga is set piece as you rest in the arms of the angels. We sure didn't miss you, And we always will.

We had so many late night FB conversations that one of our FB MEMORIES pop up at least once a month. You were, are and always will be Loved by so many...
Many more than you ever knew. Heaven is Blessed with your Sweet Soul but we will always rejoice for the good days and you will always live on in your incredible son Aaron but even deeper in my heart. I pray that you are at Peace and a big part of me knows you found the Peace you couldn't find on Earth with God. I love and miss you Cuz ❣
