I want to send my condolences to the Barker family. I did not know him personally, but from what I have he would have been a great person to know. It is hard to lose someone that has been in your life for so long, but just know he went to a better place.

I will always remember Mr. Barker's passion for Auburn football and the personal relationship that he had with the players. He always made it a point to say hello to me at Tiger Walk and to ask about my family. Not a game day will ever go by that I won't recall seeing Mr. Barker in his double knit War Eagle suit. He was an original, a very special man, and a good friend. War Eagle Bill! See you someday soon.

Bill will stay in my heart for the rest of my life. The 15 short years we knew each other were special; Bill helped through some of my toughest days, and I pray that I was there (for him) as he made this transition. He is in the hands of a just God now. WAR EAGLE, BILL!
