I worked with and for Barbara at WCHD many years ago. She was such a gentle & caring soul that enriched the lives of all she came into contact with. My thoughts & prayers are with her family.

I am so saddened by this news. Barbara was my supervisor and friend. As a supervisor she treated her team like family. Remember all the plays and concerts we attended? She shared our joys and our sorrows, always there for support. I loved her dearly. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers and close to my heart.

Barbara and I were colleagues at the WCDHS, and although we never worked directly with one another, I admired her quiet, kind, and gentle approach to all she encountered. We talked about life in retirement, and she said she was looking forward to it as a new chapter in her life. Goodness like hers will live on in those she touched. My heartfelt sympathy,

My heart goes out to the family. Barbara was my supervisor in Wake County. She was a sweet and caring person. We would reminisce public health stories, some I will never forget. She would share stories about her family, her pets, Clay's artwork from cards she would receive, bake cakes for the team she supervised, and invited us to her lovely home. Claude always had an immaculate lawn for golfing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
