I want you all to know how very saddened I have been about your mother's loss in your lives and in mine as well. As my mom boards the plane at 6am tomorrow I know she will be traveling with a heavy heavy heart and as Jeff, Jana and my ambassador to your family.

I have always been aware of your mother's love and care towards us... towards me. I carry the sound of her calling me "Honey" or "Darling" and I want you to know that always meant a lot to me. She meant a lot to me.

We are lucky in this life if we meet and are close to a soul similar in nature to our own. Your mother's, my aunt's genuine love to ALL things living and her tender concern in caring for whatever needed her was such a similarity and closeness to me. As your pop has eluded... their home became a sanctuary to all that needed it. A wiser man than I once said: "You can always tell a person's true soul by their kindness toward animals."

So there are many stories I have heard and knowing her while we were growing up near each other provide the underscore for it all.

And then there was a day when your mom held, stroked and soothed an untethered alligator in her lap. And it fell asleep. It just does not get more real than that now does it.

My thoughts and love are with you all. I loved my aunt Margaret. I love our families.

Please excuse this informal note however words, rather than format provide the readers with the thought being conveyed.
