Faye Elizabeth Carter Wagner, 71 of Hendersonville, NC, passed away on March 30, 2016 from complications of Multiple Myeloma.
Faye was born in West Palm Beach, FL on May 17th, 1944. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Elizabeth Carter and Dewey Harold Carter. She graduated from Mainland High School, Daytona Beach, FL in 1962 and continued on to receive a Bachelor's degree from Florida State University.
Faye was married to Bill Wagner for 48 years. She enjoyed floral arranging and was active on the flower guild at St. Richard's Episcopal Church in Winter Park, FL in the 1980's. When she and Bill moved to Hendersonville for retirement she once again became active with the flower guild at St. James Episcopal Church, until her illness forced her to resign, which was extremely distressing to her.
Faye is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Meredith Blanco of Jacksonville, FL and Allison Espinosa (Roger) of San Antonio, TX. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Elizabeth Blanco and Jonathan, Nicolas, Christopher and Pedro Espinosa. Faye is also survived by her brother, Ronald Carter (Pam) and sister-in-law, Susan Wagner Skardon (Hooper), nephews, Chad Carter (Jacquie), Matthew Carter (Rachel), Trey Skardon and John Skardon.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Pardee Hospital, Oncology Clinic and Home Health Care, The Lodge at Mills River and the Elizabeth House for their efforts and loving care during Faye's illness.
A private burial will be held on a later date.
