condolences to the Bogle family. i'm 65 and i don't play any instrument but everytime i pick up and listen to a VENTURES piece, i thank God for bringing the band into our lives, and on his passing, a special feeling of gratitude for Bob's talent. God rest your soul, Bob.

Dear Bogle Family, I am so very sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I just found out by visiting the Ventures' website and it hit me hard. I am 63 years old and have been a big Ventures fan since my mid-twenties. I'm glad I got to meet him personally when the guys came to Cleveland in '98. I always wanted to play guitar but I guess never had the patience for it. Bob absolutely amazed me with his savvy on lead and bass guitar. I'll never forget him. I'm sure he's up there in heaven wowing all the angels with that whammy bar. Al Haymond

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. Bob has inspired me to start playing guitar when the Ventures first started, and to this day I still play at age 62. My favourite song is still "Walk Don't Run"
