My son John and I were at Phoenix (from Connecticut) in 1996 to witness Bobby's victory in the 43 car. Thanks for the memories.

He fought his disease just like he fought for the win when racing. He will be in the company of other great racing folks. So sorry for your loss. He will be missed by many....

My husband David has always been a fan of Bobby's. He never got to meet him personally but when Bobby announced he was taking time off to battle cancer...I could tell my husband took it hard. He is one of those guys that you never see cry but you can tell when he is hurting...when our son called him to tell him Bobby passed away you could tell he was having a hard time controlling his emotions. Bobby raced for the love of racing, it showed in his smile when he won or lost...he had fun doing what he loved and was also very proud of his son...Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Hamilton family. Cancer hit my family 2 yrs ago taking my 52 yr old aunt...life will never be the same without her. God Bless
