Alex was one of the finest men I have ever known. Always cordial, helpful, and interested in others, he took great pride in his work. One of the best decisions of my years as senior pastor of Old South Uniteed Methodist Church in reading was hiring Alex to be our custodian. He kept the facility in immaculate condition, always ready for any event from worship, to funerals, weddings, celebrations, suppers, amid activities in the building eighteen hours a day. I feel honored to have known Alex and counted him as a friend.
Betty and I send Sylvia and his family our deepest sympathy. May fond memories give you comfort and strength.
Rev. Bob Sweet
