Allan was a great neighbor. We lived across the street and arrived as newlyweds. Our daughter Alexandra grew up with Heather and Matthew - I remember our after dinner walks around the neighborhood, with Allan, Eleanor and sometimes the children - a time we would catch up on the news of the day. Those were happy times. I also remember when Allan and Eleanor couldn't wait to introduce us to the new restaurant in Marshfield, The Ming, when we gathered a group from the neighborhood to try it out. We now live in Marshfield, not far from The Ming.

Eleanor, Heather, Matthew and family,
Our sympathy at the loss of Allan, a friend and neighbor we cherished throughout these years. Living across the street on Harbor View Drive, we enjoyed the many chats, walks and even Chinese food at The Ming in Marshfield, including fond and wonderful memories of family events, children growing up together and I particularly remember Allan shoveling out from the Blizzard of '78 to come across the street to our home seeking hot water for coffee(we had a gas stove). Love this photograph of Allan. He will remain in our hearts as a loving husband, father, relative and good friend to so many.

To The Goldsmith Family, I worked with Goldy for 40 years mostly on the dayside at Morrissey Blvd and in Billerica. He was a pleasure to work with, I have such good memories of him, he was always in a good mood and brought laughter with him to the job. My deep condolences to you, his family. May your good memories sustain you at this time.

Eleanor and family,
I was very saddened to learn of the death of Al, I worked with him for 33 years at the Globe, I used to call him on Aug. 13th to wish him a happy birthday, I always enjoyed hearing any news about the Globe guys who we worked with. I will keep him in my prayers during this difficult time.
