Belanger, Barbara Of Hanover, July 1, 2014 after a brief illness, Barbara (Panarese) Belanger, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Bright) Panarese, she was born in Everett on January 25, 1931. Barbara graduated from Whidden Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for 31 years; the last 22 years she worked in the ER at Brockton Hospital where she enjoyed the friendship of many wonderful coworkers. She loved reading, traveling, exercising, and spending time at her summer home in West Harwich with her family and friends. Barbara was a very kind hearted and spiritual person who regularly attended St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church. She was also a big Patriots and Celtics fan. She is survived by her husband, Raymond N. Belanger, and son, Raymond N. Belanger Jr. and his wife Susan Belanger of Norwell. She was the sister of Donald Miller of Everett and the late Carol Bruso and Kate Poor. Grandmother of Bill Belanger, Kerry Belanger and her boyfriend Elliot Conway. She was the step daughter of the late Antonio "Nelson" Mercurio and is survived by many loving sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Monday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St, Rte 139 in Hanover. Burial will follow at Hanover Center Cemetery. Ray and family, Lenny and I were saddened by the death of Barbara, we have wonderful memories of you all and what wonderful times we had when we were young and active at Spellman. Our prayers are with you.

Barbara was such a kind hearted person. Always enjoyed talking to her and she always lifted your spirits after u talked to her.Feel so sad she passed away and our sympathy goes out to Ray, Ray Jr and family. She was a wonderful cousin and we have great memories together!God Bless her. Love cousins Margie, Ronnie ,Amanda, Bobby, and Cousin Barbara who our mom her aunt named her after her. Barbara and mom were like sisters now they are together in heaven .

I'm sorry to hear of Mrs. Belanger's passing. She was a great lady. She and her husband, Ray, were great friends to my parents, (the late) Jack Dolan and Catherine Dolan. She was always nice to me and my friends when we were over her house visiting her son, Ray.
