I will miss Barbara at every Trollope Society event. Barbara was a scintillating presence and a very fine scholar, as well as a warm and charming friend.

For Bobby's children: Bobby and I are friends from Eliot Hall, Radcliffe. We stayed in touch over the years...Xmas notes, visits in NYC when Bob was there as a visiting scholar and I visited my kids and grandchildren...we were, as the saying goes, "best friends forever" and I will miss the warmth of her friendship, along with her many other wonderful qualities. My condolences, Ruth Kahn
