I loved going to Yankee Stadium when the Indians came to Town and Bob Feller was pitching. Night Games were just getting off the ground and my Father took his three sons to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees beat what was then the Greatest Pitcher around...Tommy Henrich was our hero at that time....Those were the days....R.I.P. Bob you were Great and lived a good life......You had it all..

I still remember listening on the radio to your first appearance pitching after WW2. You are one of the true heroes of mine as I grew up on Clevelands east side.

To the Feller Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Bob. He was a man of many accomplishments in his wonderful life and will be truly missed. My husband and I along with some of our High School Marching Band students had the extreme honor of meeting Bob & Anne while participating in the Washington DC, Memorial Day Parade. While we were thrilled to have the chance to meet Bob and snap a few photos, it goes to show the type of man that he was. Participating in the parade as a solider but never shy to talk a little baseball. While we are grateful for his service to our country, the huge baseball fans that we are were honored to also be in the presence of a true Hall of Fame Hero on the diamond. It is a day that we will remember always. May you rest in peace Mr. Feller and may your family’s fond memories bring them comfort in the days ahead.
