Dear Miranda,
We met at Paracelsus. Nina is someone who has stayed with me for years after meeting her. I was so saddened to hear that she passed. She is a hero for me. She took on her illness with a depth of intelligence, persistence, and creativity rarely encountered. Her maturity was striking. Her relationship with you is one of the most beautiful mother-daughter relationships I've seen. While her life was short lived, she accomplished more in her years than most do in a lifetime. You were so lucky to have each other. My love to you and to Ted as you grieve the loss of such an amazing daughter and person.

I just learned of Caroline's passing and wanted to send my warmest thoughts and feelings to her family. As a nurse who cared for Caroline, I grieve for her. I was fortunate to get to know her - a very bright, insightful, engaging, and fun young woman who I always looked forward to seeing every week. I enjoyed her immensely and we shared many, many moments of laughter. In fact, we laughed every time she visited the doctor's office where I worked and cared for her. I will never forget Caroline.

To the Boylan family, I've never had the opportunity to meet Caroline, nor anyone in the family for that matter but my heart is heavy for your loss. Looking at her picture I can see kindness radiating through her smile. I too am 26 and sometimes forget how precious life is. If it's any consolation to your family, reading Caroline's obituary made me realize that life is short and I should enjoy every moment that I have. It reminds me that I should fight my battles with all my strength. It reminds me that for every experience, whether good or bad provides a valuable lesson.
Caroline, may you rest in peace sweet angel. God has called you home. Sing and rejoice with the angels in heaven. No more tears, no more pain.
