To family and friends of Darrel Akerfelds, please find comfort in God's inspired word the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16).

Deepest sympathy to the Akerfelds family. My son, Kevin Bledsoe, played baseball with Darrel's brother, Duane, and also attended Columbine High School. Their Dad coached Kevin's team and Darrel was always encouraging the younger boys. We have very fond memories of those days.

Dear Ackerfelds Family,

We are so sorry to hear about the death of Darrel. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. He was a special guy, as were his brothers at Ken Caryl Junior High, and we now celebrate his life and remember him with joy.
