I was just remembering how Uncle Donny had us all enthralled with the story of the MGM Grand Fire and his leading a group of people down countless stairs, wearing Nancy's huge shoulder bag around his neck and getting caught on the railing at every turn. And his getting between my dad (Bill) and Uncle Bud at the family reunion at Billy and Tia's ~ saying, 'My whole life I've had to step in between you two guys, and I'm the YOUNGEST.' With Barbara nodding in agreement. I will miss him so much.

We will miss Uncle Donny. He was a fine gentleman, an excellent role-model. Alice and I were sad to hear/read of his passing. The unfortunate circumstance of Alice being in hospital due to triple pneumonia as well as recovery from a second knee replacement/revision made it impossible for us to honor him by our attendance, but he and his Lady are in our hearts!

Nancy and family,
I always enjoyed being around Uncle Donny. He reminded me of a younger version of my dad and had many of the same mannerisms and looks. We were so fortunate to have you and Donny attend Jennifer's wedding a year ago and glad that we were seeing one another at a happy occasion. Although we live far apart, you and Donny were always very special to me. I hope that you will continue to remain in touch with us. \

I just learned, too late to attend the official ceremonies. I'll miss talking to (Great) Uncle Donny, even as infrequent as those conversations were.
