Sargie was my grandmother, my caretaker, my friend. She knew me from the day I was born and along with my parents cared for me and raised me to be a confident, loving person. She always made me feel special and wanted. She made me my marble birthday cake every year until I was a grown adult. My siblings and I were so blessed to have had Sargie as a part of our lives from the very beginning. She surrounded us with love. I love her with all my heart. I am glad that she is at peace now, but I will miss her. She had a true spirit of love and grace and a nice dose of sassiness. She was a gem.

Edna was a second mother to me from the first day of school at Longfellow (many years ago) where her daughter Judy and I met and became best friends. My heart is breaking with her loss, but I have a lifetime of memories to hold in my heart. I loved that little fiesty, firery woman with all my heart. Lloyd, Jr. and Richard are like brothers to me and I feel lucky to have Edna's family as my extended family. I will miss you so much Edna and I love you very deeply. All my love, Sharon xo
