Gerry was one of my first customers in my new investment business in 1968. We have been friends and did business together until his death, but he was much more on the friends side of the equation. Gerry and Felix helped my brother buy and run the heath care club in Chatham. He called me from a confernece in Anapolis, Md. to ask me if I knew the keynote speaker, Fred Whitlock. I didn't know but Gerry put us together and Fred turned out to be a cousin many times removed. I served in the peacetime army, France 1961-1963, and because of this, we talked about serving our country and what he gave to all of us having fought through Italy during WW II.
Gerry, I salute you and will never forget our friendship. Go with GOD.

Scott Whitlock

My condolences to Gerry's sons, Felix S. Betro of Franklin, Gerald J. Betro, Jr . of Norton, Richard A. Betro of Walpole, and Gerry's daughter Karen E. Willox of Dedham, who I've had the pleasure of meeting and talking to several times at Gerry's office.

Gerry was my mentor for years. He kept me emotionally stable when I was unsure how to proceed when I was caught in a malstrom of decisions.

I could say so much about Gerry, but so much has already been said about him which includes what I would say about him.

I called and spoke to Gerry just days before his passing, just to say hi and see how he was. He was more interested in talking about my project
( WhipsBook.com ) then he was about telling me about what he knew to be in the near future and imminent for him. He only told me what he knew to be imminent after he helped me get through some hard decisions.
I've learned so much from Gerry. I will miss him for the rest of my life. I can only hope that what I do in life will make him proud of me. I know he is with our LORD and GOD in Heaven and I will look forward to seeing him again when it's my turn to leave.
His wisdom and kindness and humor is a loss to all that knew and loved him.

With warm regards
C.J. Perron
