Just heard today of Barbara's passing. I will greatly miss her. She was a warm and caring person with a great sense of humor. She always had a smile on her face and was always dressed impeccably. She was a ray of sunshine in a somewhat dismal work environment. I worked closely with her at Boston Latin School when she was teaching art. She was very selfless in a very self -centered profession; always making sure students and teachers were treated fairly. If it weren't for Barbara I would not have had the employment I had during my years there, because she always requested I cover her when she was out, and I would not have become certified as an art teacher without her help. I am most grateful for having known and for having worked with Barbara. I send my condolences to her son and grandchildren.
A very long time, very good friend. I miss her already.. Dana Chandler
It was a pleasure and an honor to have known Barbara during her stay at Rogerson House. What a pleasant lady -- and a Boston Latin School teacher to boot!
