On the darkest nights, shine the brightest stars....deeply sorry for the loss here on earth of your beautiful Mother, sister, friend, daughter and wife....know it, feel it that this angel of a woman watches and smiles over you.
I just learned of Beth's passing last night, while attending a St Paul's L.A. reception. I am so sad; it's so hard to believe that she's gone. I was in my last year at SPS when she, two years younger, arrived at the school, and the two of us became fast and deep friends. She was a glowing, multi-dimensional, vital being - even then. Saw her much later, when I arrived in L.A. in the 90's and found this amazing woman who had been and was creating the life of her choosing. I'm grateful for the sweet memories of her from a sweet time. And I send my condolences to her family and all who loved her.
I had the pleasure of meeting Beth during my stay at the Paracelsus Clinic. She was so supportive to all of us, kind and strong in her battle. She gave me great insight into cancer and how best to live fully with it and how best to fight against it. I wish all the best to Ann and Cora whom I also met at the clinic, so nice to be around their loving family.
Much love to your family,
I had the opportunity to judge a speech competition in which Elizabeth's son spoke in last night. His words about his stepmother are still in my mind today. I think what touched me the most was the fact that she made such an impression on his life and that she always referred to her son as her son not her stepson.
I do not know the Welliver family but I just wanted to pass along peaceful thoughts and wishes as it is clear that Elizabeth is missed.
Titus my friend, Keeping you and yours in my prayers. If you ever need an ear or a shoulder... Alta
Ann and Charlie and the entire Alexander/Welliver clan -
I am so sorry to hear this news very belatedly. My mother was Beth's godmother and she herself passed away last February. In the chaos of dealing with my mother's long illness, I had no idea that this had happened and just found out from Joan Buhse Bose.
Although I hadn't seen Beth since we were kids, I long heard about how brilliant, beautiful and talented she was. I'm sure those traits will carry on with Cora and I wish you all peace.
I knew Beth well. I loved her, her elan and her ability to bring people together to laugh. She could do the NYT Sunday crossword puzzle in a half an hour, in pen!
Very sorry for your loss. I will think very well of her often.
Titus, I am sorry for your loss. I would like to mail a note to Beth's father. He was my Latin teacher many years ago and I am very fond of him and the family but don't know how to get in touch. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks very much.
You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your wife. I hope you are able to gain strength from your children and family, by seeing them as a continuation of Elizabeth's spirit which surrounds and embraces you.
