Dad always said he could not be a friend to Brian Deb and I... but he never quite realized just how much of a friend he really was.
Seri would like to pass on that she finds Grandpa's place in the universe when she looks up to the night sky and finds his star - always there to know her love. Hafiz is at a loss for words... but I'm sure is wishing nothing less than birdies in Heaven for grampa... Shah is missing him beyond words.
He was a champion kind of guy and if I had the chance at the git go I would have picked him to be my father.
Thanks to all for your kind words & bye for now,
Jack & family
We were Tom's neighbors for 14 years. He was a great neighbor and friend and will be missed. He is in a better place now, but his impression on us will be everlasting.
My “Uncle Mickey” exemplified the definition of a “stand up guy”. Steadfastly committed to family and friends, epitomized all that is patriotic, and was a role model for every man that desires to be a committed, and loving husband and father. Men such as my Uncle, Thomas J. Ahern, are the rare and vanishing treasures of our culture and society. Long live his values, ethics and life practices; a true American family man has left us. May his spirit live on in the next generation of “Real Men”. Thank you, Uncle Mickey for setting the standard to which all good men should aspire.
Tom had a heart of gold and I will miss him dearly. He had a
smile on his face everyday and he made everyone smile back.
