Aunt Mattie had a beautiful smile and joyful conversation. It has been years since I saw Aunt Mattie, not as long, since I last spoke with her. She has gone the way, all men must go, we just do not know when nor how, we will leave here. I can recall her speaking by phone with my Mom, her oldest Sister, about her trips to Israel. If memory serves me right, she would send my Mom and (the late) Aunt Ethel, her second oldest Sister, a very nice Jewish Calendar, along with photos of her trip and the 'Holy Land'. We have lots of fond memories of her hospitality, during our visit in 1970, and her visit, to see us in Texas, perhaps in 1991, with Sandra. It's a sad event, for sure and our hearts are heavy, however, God's sovereign will is 'never' a mistake. We can rejoice, knowing that if we 'die in the Lord', we shall live again, eternally, with our God.
To Cousin's Sandra, Sylvia and Laura, we love you all and we are sorry, we were not able to be at your sides. Please except our apologies and know we are praying for you and petitioning God, to provide for all of your needs, during your hours and days ahead. Surely, there is no, God, like our God!
