I was Jimbo's roommate at Bentley and just learned of his passing and Im shocked beyond belief. He is someone that I remember because of his energetic approach to life and eternal optimism. He was on my list of people to visit the next time I go stateside.
We lost touch after college when I went overseas, but I always looked forward to his thoughtful cards and letters that he sent to my family and I. Jim and I always made it a point to sign our letters with the parting greeting "Your friend for life".
My deepest condolences to the family. Thanks for all the memories, buddy.
I will always be your...Your friend for life...

Just reading of Jim's passing now.
With Jim, Papa, Johnson, and a few others, we were the founding members of the Bentley Wrestling Club. I recall Jim winning two matches at our 1st tournament.
RIP, Jim. Cherish life, while we have it.

I just learned of Jim's passing. I have known Jim and his family for over 20 years. I am very sad to hear such a wonderful person was taken from us so early in life. I haven't seen him as much in the last few years because of his and my family obligations, but we were still great friends. I will always think of him and the great times we shared skiing and riding all over.

I just learned about Jim's passing. I have known him since 1994, and he has been my friend since. I had a chance to meet his parents and siblings, and they shared in Jim's amiable, caring ways.I have spent time with Gail and the kids at their beautiful home as well. He worked on a highly intelligent level, and backed it up with empathy and a kind spirit. I am shocked to learn of his passing, and send my deepest condolences to Gail and the kids. Gail - my husband Terry and I met you briefly one evening back in October. You guys had literally just finished the new bathroom and we got the grand tour. Then Jim took us and Michael Biscotti out on his boat for several hours during sunset and to dinner . . . he was so generous with his time and his boat. His knowledge of the area was incredible and when he lined us up under where the planes were taking off, that was just an incredible experience! That evening was pure magic and the highlight of our East Coast trip! We will miss Jim but remember him very fondly. I will continue to pray for strength for you and your family.

GOODBYE
Farewell, goodbye dear friend,
I didn't know you well enough, now I have to wait a while to talk again.
Farewell dear Jim,
Stay close to God now you have left, and wait for us, we will be along.
I won't understand why you left so soon,
Only you and God know why.
Unannounced departures leave a gap,
Wide in the lives left in the room.
Goodbye for now,
We will see you once we are done here.
Living out our days as best we can,
Without that big wide smile, worn with pride under your instructor's jacket.

We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Jim's locker was only a couple away from ours. I was always in awe of Jim's skiing abilities and have to admit that when I heard that he was running our training on the first day back to the mountain this year, I was very intimidated! Jim however made the training class very unassuming and welcoming. I will miss his presence in the locker room next year and for many years after that. This is a HUGE loss for Loon Mountain. Peace and healing to all of Jim's family!

Over the years Jim and I worked on many accounts together always with the best results. We would chat about how much we love our children and how they change through the years. Gail, Jackie, Celie, Harry, Joyce, and all the Rowins family:
We here in New Zealand are shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of Jim. He was a great guy and will truly be missed. My son Konor has a fond memory of nearly bouncing off the front of Jim's boat while following the Tall Ships out in Boston harbor during our last visit - that and being terrorized by the family dog! I still remember bungee jumping with Jim down in Queenstown; he did it like a champion whilst I was nearly crapping myself.
We are looking forward to being with you all in August and so wish we could be there with you now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you daily.
