Dear Doris and family,

I didn't know Jack but my Dad, Larry Kaplan, thought incredibly highly of Jack and is terribly saddened at the loss of his dear friend. I am so very sorry about Jack's passing and I wish you all well as you care for each other and navigate this new time of grief. Dad told me that Jack was a man with whom he felt most at ease. The connection was very strong. Dad reminded me that he and Jack go back to BU Journalism days. I am grateful that you and Jack visited with Dad and Ellen so recently. Be well all of you...

With affection,

Cindy Kaplan, daughter of Larry and Ellen.

To Carol,
Sorry to here about your dad. I remember the time he spoke to our class at FSC, and two or three times you took us to The Globe and he was nice enough to give use the "nickle" tour. I remember him fondly.

My condolences to the entire Craig family. My father Ray and Jack were great friends while at the Globe and Jack was a source of great help for my family when my father was ill. He was a terrific man and I really enjoyed his TV/Radio column. He will be missed.

To Jack's Family:
It was an honor to carry on Jack's work with the SporTView column. Truth be told, though, he could be imitated but never duplicated.
Reading that he was trying to increase his golfing outings from two days a week to three was another reason to admire him.
Over the years I had the pleasure of editing his copy, making the late-night calls to the Craig home when stories broke, and finally continuing the column.

Doris,
I know you through the early bird golfers at Lost Brook. I want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Aunt Doris, Carol, and John and Family,

I was saddened to hear the news about Uncle Jack. Know that Marty and I have you all in our thoughts and prayers. I regret that we will not be in the Boston area to extend our condolences in person.

My earliest memory of Jack is that of faithful son, his weekly visits to the third floor of Peter Parley Road to spend time with Mabel and Shots. In time may you all find comfort in your many memories of Jack as husband, father, and grandfather.

Love,

Marty and Karen Mulvey
