September 17, 2013 I just heard of the demise of Fry's CEO, Mr. Jon Flora. We (my family) just moved to California and really miss Arizona especially Fry's Store with the great food and the beloved Jon Flora's advertising ads. My condolences to the family of this fine person. Rest in peace.
Mrs. Ashwell & Family Maud Ashwell, San Francisco, CA September 17, 2013 I remember this gentleman. He would advertise the best looking produce on our local T.V. stations in Arizona and wow, it made me want to shop at Fry's. He seemed like a true gentleman and upstanding businessman. Sorry he passed so soon. Best wishes to his family and friends. September 17, 2013 The face of kindness, empathy, sincerity and compassion! This man could light up a room with his presence! There are not many leaders in the giant corporate world like Jon! Jon may your rewards be great in heaven! I'm going to miss you! As a retired member of The USAF, I regret I never had an opportunity to work for you! My mother meet you a couple years a go Christmas Eve, at the Sun City Store! She said you had a big friendly approachable demeanor surrounded by proud members of the Fry's family! You clasped her hands, looked her in the eyes and thanked her for shopping at Fry's! To this day, she said you had the kindest eyes! You can never be replaced! May God comfort and watch over your family and friends during this very sad time for your Fry's associates and customers who all truly respect you and will always remember your kindness and empathy! Sleep well! David Clark, Sun City, AZ September 17, 2013 It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the support of family, friends, and coworkers can carry you through. This man lived the " AMERICAN DREAM", by taking a job at 16 years of age as a clerk & bottle boy, and continuously rising through the ranks, leaving this world as President of Fry Foods, at 58 years of age. His career was an example of "Capitalism", at its best.... ONLY IN AMERICA !! Rest in peace young man, Our Lord has taken you home.
