Dear Ruth Ellen and Family,

Your lovely mother was so kind and generous with her time supporting and mentoring us as young women growing up in Roxbury.

My sincere condolences.

Our sincere sympathies on the passing of your mother Margaret McKinney. What an example she set for so many. Her legacy continues in so many.,

Dear Ruth Ellen and all of Margaret's family. I grieve with you although yours is so much deeper. Margaret and I became friends over shared books, though I knew her before this. She was so very kind and warm and though I did not see her often, I knew she was a true friend. Once a group of "widows" met around the Christmas holiday and we were all to bring remembrances of our late husbands. Margaret's was the most loving, the most entertaining and you could see the kind of life she had with her husband. I shall miss her.
