I was so very sorry to hear about Mary's passing. She was always such a kind and gentle woman of great faith. I have such nice memories of her and all the Doucettes. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to all the Doucette's. Your mother meant so much to our family. My mother, the other Mary Mary, will surely miss your mother's friendship. They had a lot of fun times and made a lot of memories together. I felt like I was intruding the other day, but I felt, I don't know the word to use, honored maybe, to be present when your mom passed. My love to you all. Kathy

The Doucette Family and the Hicks Family have been connected for many, many years. Linda and Nancy, Lisa and Kathy, and the moms of both families, Mary D. and Mary H.
The Marys worked together as girl scout leaders when we were in elementary school and junior high. They also worked together at the Melrose High School in the cafeteria when we (Linda and I) were in high school.
It was always so nice for Linda and I, when we were at lunch, to see our moms at the cafeteria, and yes, they had treats set aside for us as well.
Both in good times and bad times Mary D. and Mary H. were there for each other to help jump the hurdles that were dealt to them.
They loved going to the movies and dining out. Mary D. never minded driving and Mary H. would happily be the passenger.
Our lives intermingled for so long, will be memories we hold for so long. We will remember Mary D. with the smile she always held for each one of us when we saw her.
