My deepest sympathy to the family for your loss. I had been meaning to call and get tPopsicles ogether with Matt since my brother John passed last November. Matt and I talked on the phone until the battery quit. We promised to meet, but never did. I was shocked to learn of his passing. He will be in my heart and mind forever. He was the most intelligent young man I have ever met. Rest in peace Matty.

I loved Matt deeply. He was my first serious boyfriend and he always treated me with respect and tremendous kindness. He was the type of person that everyone looked up to: handsome, smart, athletic, kind. I felt so lucky that he was my boyfriend because he inspired me everyday to do my best. I also feel so fortunate to have had his entire family in my life during the 4+ years that we were together. I remember family meals with the Sabettis--pasta fagioli and rigatoni every Sunday evening. The generosity of his family was something very special. Matt and I grew up together and this was a tremendous gift in my life. We lost touch in the mid-80's, but then reconnected once Facebook became a "thing." I have thought about him often through the years and even can't count the many dreams I have had of him. This is a tragic loss and my heart is very heavy. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to go to the funeral, as are my brother and parents, who loved Matt as well. We are all deeply saddened by his loss. We send the family our blessings of strength and peace. I am so lucky that Matt was in my life. May he rest in peace.

I remember so Matt fondly from junior high and high school. What a kind, caring, smart person he was, and what a tragedy he left us all so soon. I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to all his family.
