I was a patient of Dr. Winig from May of 1976 until November of 1991 when I had to regrettably leave his practice as I was pregnant with my daughter and he was no longer delivering babies.
He saw me through a miscarriage, and multiple procedures and had the most wonderful and caring bedside manner.I adored his kindness and humor ( not to mention medical expertise as I was a DES daughter).
He was truly one in a million and I was so sorry to hear of his passing.
My deepest sympathies to you all.

Having been a patient of Dr. Winig for over forty years, his loss is immeasurable. Yet, the memories I have of him as being a thoughtful, caring, and compassionate doctor will never fade. He delivered my daughter in 1987 and, therefore, cared for me until his death. He was a fantastic obstetrician and the most competent surgeon when I needed his services for certain gynecological issues. Dr. Winig was not an alarmist, whether in person or by telephone, he had the innate ability to lessen your fears through his empathetic approach, calming voice, and his willingness to listen attentively and offered options when applicable. Although I was to see him next month for my yearly visit, I will always remember him for his wonderful care and utmost kindness.

Dr. Wining delivered my son 43 years ago and even after moving to Florida I still called him to ask his opinion whenever I needed to make a decision. He was the kindest, smartest most gentle man, and I hated leaving him when we moved. I have, and always will, miss his warm smile and kind way.

I am extremely sadenned by the loss of Dr Wining! He was one of the most wonderful and kind people I have ever known! I first met Dr Wining in Athens, Greece when Dr Kiessling introduced us and spoke to me about their mission and dream to help HIV affected families conceive a healthy baby. I was lucky enough to be invited later to help and worked with them to achieve that goal. Every interaction with Dr Wining, whether it was during work or later at scientific and group meetings was so delightful! He always greeted me (and everyone really) with the most warm and welcoming smile, a staple of his true kindness, that will always stay with me! I will miss him truly, every time a new meeting comes up it will never be the same. I can only imagine how he will be missed by his family and closest friends! My heart goes out to his beloved wife, children and grand children! What an amazing person Dr Winig was!!!
