BLAKELY, Paul M. 73, of Westborough, formerly of Framingham and Boston, passed away unexpectedly, July 1, 2016. Born in Memphis, TN, he was the son of the late Edward L. Sr. & Earlean (Harris) Blakely.
Paul was raised in Boston where he was a Deputy Sherriff with Suffolk County. He later moved to Framingham becoming a Police Officer with the Framingham Police Dept. A graduate of MassBay Community College, Paul ended his career as the Deputy Chief of Public Safety at UMASS Medical Center, Worcester.
Paul is survived by his children, Sherry O'Brien and Terry O'Brien, both of Canton, Kamaala A. Townshend & her husband Andrew of Wakefield, Jason P. Blakely of Westborough, and Paul Cintolo of Malborough, three grandchildren, Alaina Rodriguez, Nicholas and Mia Townshend, thirteen brothers & sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Steven Blakely.
Visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., FRAMINGHAM, on Wednesday, July 13th from 4-8pm. I just learned about Paul's passing and want to offer my condolences to his family.
Paul was a good officer and a gentleman and I will miss his company at the Framingham police awards banquet .

I am so sorry that I can not attend the services for Paul. I send my love and prayers to the family. We grew up together and had many, many, good times growing up in Bromley Heath. We were like family and I will miss him very much.

Uncle Paul to hundreds of teenagers and children. His opinion and understanding was sought by them all. He is truly a friend and uncle who will be missed. There is a hole in my heart.
