WEENE, Richard Burton Of Wellesley, MA, entered into rest on October 28, 2017, at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband for 61 years to Barbara (Zalon) Weene. Devoted father of Ellen Weene and her husband Paul Mantovani, Larry Weene and his wife Kelly, Michelle Atkins and her husband Dan. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca and Jonathan Mantovani, Eve and Michael Atkins, and Jenna and Sophia Weene. He was the owner and operator of Imperial Signs for 50 years. Graveside services will be at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA on Tuesday, October 31st at 10:45 a.m. Shiva will be at his late residence Tuesday following services until 3 p.m. and then from 5-8 p.m. and continuing on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation, 2014 Washington Street, Newton, MA 02462, to support families who are caring for loved ones during extended illnesses.
