Baruch Dayan Emeth.

We are so saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Reuven Cohn.

Reuven was a very special person. Not only was he an intellectually gifted individual , he was also a wonderfully talented teacher and lawyer. People who knew him, even slightly, could tell what a
kind and humble human being he was.

All who were lucky enough to know him, whether as a family member, client, coworker, student, friend or acquaintance, will miss him.

May his neshama rest in Gan Eden and may he continue to be a source of blessing to his family, friends and klal Yisrael.

I submitted something else about Reuven. I wanted to add that my children, Ariel and Adina Mayse lived in Newton, MA for a year and attended Shaarei Tefillah. They called me to inform me that they found out he had passed away. I told them I knew and that I had been at the funeral and I related some things that were shared at the funeral. When I told them that Rabbi Samuels said that he always greeted newcomers very kindly, Adina said, he also welcomed them into Shaarei in an especially warm manner and that he was one of the first people to come over to them to do so. This particularly stood out in their memory of their year in Newton.

I personally took a number of courses with Reuven at Maayan. He was a very special teacher. He always taught on a very high madrega yet very easy to follow and grasp. I will truly miss the opportunity to learn with him in the future.
