Im sorry to have just heard this very sad news. I remember Mr. Michelson being kind to me (and our family) since I was a small child. My parents adored him as well. He was such a wonderful asset to the town of Lexington, his store, his family and his friendliness contributed to the atmosphere of Lexington being a family town. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Michelson, Eric, Rhonda, Jerry and their families. He will be missed. Kim (Corr) Smith

My heart hurts. You left without saying goodbye. Reading The Colonial Times today I realized this sad truth.
You were more than my shoe man. You were a very long time friend; Explaining the voting issues, lending me money for the last LexPress, talking about your grand children's accomplishments.
I came to your excellent shoe store often just to chat, and laugh and left in a cheerful mood.
I will keep you in my heart.
Lexington will miss you for all you did for our town.
