Clare and family,
So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. You're all in my thoughts.

I was very sorry to hear about Dick's passing. I remember Dick and Mary Wilkins as wonderful people, who raised a very nice and respected family up on High Street. Dick was a great guy, quiet but stern, a real gentleman but tough when needed. I remember playing hockey with Billy Wilkins in Charlestown and over at Latin School and often getting rides with Dick in the family wagon. The rides were a lot of fun and greatly appreciated. And I remember Mary Wilkins' great smile. Lovely people. My family on both sides, the Morrissey's and Dennehy's go way back with the Wilkins family, we loved that large family. My great Uncle Jack Dennehy lived on the top floor of the Wilkins brownstone for years, after arriving from West Cork. May God bless Dick Wilkins and he'll always be remembered as a terrific guy.

Love,
Jim Morrissey.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Wilkins, long ago my principal at the West School in the 60s and 70s. He was such a kind, gentle person and good to so many people, kids as well as teachers. May his memory be eternal.

I was a student at the West Elementary when Mr. Wilkins was a fifth grade teacher. He was not my teacher, but I remember wishing he was. As luck would have it, I taught at the West years later and he was as kind and funny as I remembered him. Even though I taught at this school for one year, it was one of the best years of my teaching career largely due to him. He created a welcoming home for students and faculty.
