I grew up on Walnut Street in Wakefield and my sisters and brother and I all knew the Carroll family. Sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Carroll.

From the time I was a little boy, growing up at 2 Auburn St., Wakefield, I remember Ruthie Carroll; she was a close friend of my first cousin, Ruth Tenney Conway, who lived across the street from me. Ruth Carroll's sister, Virginia, was a classmate and friend of my older sister, Mary Wenzel Gerlek. So, I knew the Carroll girls well.
Then, Ruthie married Ray Carroll and all the children began to arrive. As a teenager, I remember them well on Gould Street. Happy Wakefield memories.

I express my sympathy from Racine, Wisconsin where I live at the National Augustinian Novitiate, a seminary for our students preparing for the Augustinian way of life. I will offer Mass for Ruth next week. My sincere sympathy for a lovely lady.

Sincerely, Fr. Jim Wenzel, O.S.A.

My dad (Cosmo Albani) was a classmate of Mrs. Carroll in the first graduating class of St. Joseph's School. We lived on Walnut Street and knew the Carroll kids, in school with some of them. Mrs. Carroll was a nice person and fun to be around. Sympathy to the family.
