My condolences to the Farby and Alter families. My primary doctor, Gerald Farby, recently consoled me on the loss of my wife. I am tender with compassion for him and his bereaved family. God of all mercies is present.

Aunt Selma was warm and fun-loving and a wonderful, caring aunt. I loved her and will greatly miss her humor and laughter.

Earth is a bit dimmer, however the heavens are a lot brighter. Wherever you go brings a glow around you.

So many thoughts and memories run through my head from my childhood in Chicago and family gatherings to more present events such as my daughters wedding in Michigan to Julie's wedding in Chicago several years ago.Birthday cards every year. All seem like yesterday. The happiness in her eyes and smile stand out in my mind. It was 18 years ago that I picked her up at Detroit airport as she came to visit her ailing brother, my father for the final time. The airport and drive was one of the few times we spent time together where it was just her and me. I will always remember that and cherish that time we shared alone. My Aunt Selma will truly be missed. She was a wonderful and loving Aunt who from mine and my sisters birth wanted to be called Aunt..She earned that right and through the years relished in her status. Love you Aunt Selma, Say hi to my dad, mom, grandma and grandpa and know your memory will live on in our hearts and minds forever.
