Kathryn, Joe, Betty, Bill, David, Clare and spouses.
What an unbelievable tribute yesterday and especially today's celebratory Mass in honor of Chris and all of you. How loved he and all of you are. Folks came from near and far to show their love and support for you. Hope the memory of all of this will be of comfort to you as you plod through the next days, weeks and months. As you said Betty, " We have a new modern St. Christopher shining down on us and protecting us". Try to remember that statement. He will be watching over you all and he, Clara, Bill, Si and Phil are playing poker and Chris is winning it all!

Love and hugs, Barbara and Tom

Joe, Betty, Billy, Jennie, David, Stephanie, Clare, Oliver, Kathryn and her family and everyone who had the pleasure of saying goodbye to Chris at St. Patrick's today.
Beautiful is not an adjective usually used to describe a funeral; yet I found the funeral to be "beautiful". The strength of the family was truly incredible and the words of Betty and Billy, words that may not have been able to be verbalized by most, were somehow spoken eloquently, smoothly and with respect to those living and those like Chris who are in God's presence. While Chris is debatably in a better place, there can be no argument that Joe, Betty, Billy, Jennie, David, Stephanie, Clare, Oliver, Kathryn and her family and all those blessed with having had Chris touch their lives will be in need of future comfort.
Today, I saw two priests cry for someone who they truly loved and for a family that they truly shared in anguish. When was the last time that you saw one priest cry at any event, let alone two? The humanizing of two religious men for me was refreshing and genuine and were the result of the love that they both had for Chris. Perhaps Chris had begun to "fix" a perception of figureheads who were suppose to be beyond showing emotions and said from heaven, "Father Joe and Father Jack, it's okay to cry."
As we move beyond the funeral and life for the living continues, grief and anguish will remain for the Connolly and Messina families. It will be important that each of us reach out to them to continue the support and help them with the loss of Chris which will continue everyday of their lives......,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or at least until Chris can figure out how to eliminate the pain.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of something beautiful today. You are all amazing individuals.

Love,
Kevin Keating

Dearest Connolly Family and Kathryn,
It's difficult to find the words to express how sorry I am to hear of your loss. I want you to know that I'm thinking of you during this difficult time and sending all my love. I remember the first time I met Chris while Dave and Bill were practicing for Carnival Ball in the high school auditorium. He was running around with Claire and had the most genuine (and a bit mischievous) smile I had ever seen. Years later I got to know Chris a bit more through mutual friends we had long after SHS. He was such a wonderful guy with a heart of gold and an outstanding outlook on life. Always cracking a joke and up for some antics and laughs.... I hope all your fondest memories of Chris are giving you the strength you need today and in the days ahead. All my love...

Larger than life are words that come to mind when thinking of Chris. He was always so personable, the life of the party. Will miss chatting with him on FB about Daisy, he was certainly the best doggy daddy ever. I was never fortunate to taste his great cooking, but, others raved about his cooking abilities. An extraordinary young man who was called home early in life. I'm sure you were welcomed with open arms in heaven.

It's stunning to hear of such a tragedy hitting so young and so suddenly. Though I hadn't seen or spoken with Chris since we were *very* young, I still have fond memories of riding the space trolley with him in the back yard, playing "Bad Dudes" on the Nintendo, and riding our bikes all over town. When I heard the news, I could scarcely believe it. My heart goes out to your entire family.
