A Great Man, one who truly made an impact on my life as a young sailor under his Command, You will be missed Sir.

I served under Admiral Lockhart on VALLEY FORGE and was the CMC at OPNAV when he was at the Pentagon. He was a remarkable man, superb leader and inspiration to all.

Very Respectfully,
Joe Fiorillo GSCM(SW) USN Ret.

Carolyn, I was sorry to read of Adm. Lockhart's passing. It was my pleasure to serve as his Command Master Chief at SWOS and then to meet up in Chile during a training mission. He was a great leader with a sense of humor that made many days bright. It was nice that my brother got to meet him while doing work with your church and he also had the benefit of enjoying his presence. My thoughts are with you, and your family, may he rest in peace. Rick Mudge BTCM(SW) USN Ret. Westport, Ma.
