The Fandel family would like to send our condolences to all of you. We all fondly remember the times Mr. Abbott, "Billy" would walk up the street with his cigar to walk the dog and talk to our Dad for what seemed like hours at times. His laugh was so infectious, we all loved it, and he brought so many hours of enjoyable conversation to Dad. We will keep you all in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.

My condolences to the Abbott family. I fondly remember Billy from Bob's as well as from Coffee Time. I returned to school in my late forties to become a teacher. I often took the train into Boston to attend UMass. Throughout those years, at the coffee shop, he always had a word of encouragement. He also took to the time ask after my daughter that had moved first to Chicago and then to California because he remembered her going into Bob's as a young girl. He was such a sweet man. I wish I seen this notice earlier. I absolutely would have taken the time to attend his wake. It is those little gifts in life, the Billys we come across, who take the time to pass along a kind word, who often get us through the worst times in life, that we come to appreciate the most. God bless Billy. RIP.
