Dear Judy and family,I was so glad I was able to attend the beautiful mass for Bill today. We worked together at BC. I can see why he was so proud of his family.Annmarie's words of remembrance brought back many wonderful memories of his Bill-isms.I think Bill was looking out for me again today. After the mass I went to BC to give the program to Steve, his fellow Marine. I could not believe that there was one parking space in front of our building. I parallel parked perfectly on the first try, a rarity. As a result I got to spend an hour or so recalling Bill's stories with former colleagues.May he rest in eternal peace.

I worked with Bill at District 14 for years in the Community Service Office. He was one of the kindest, nicest people I ever met. There was nothing he wouldn't do for the people who worked for him, he always had your back. In all the years I knew him I never heard anyone say a bad word about "Father Bill" nor did I ever hear him say a bad word about anyone. He was the real deal, a guy who always did the right thing both on and off the job.

Rest in peace Billy, you'll always be remembered and appreciated.

To Fabulous Judy and her wonderful family:
I met Bill (William on occasion) when I was working at BC in the Chemistry department on the 3rd floor. I was skeptical at first of what kind of person he would be because he was a retired Boston cop! And he wanted to know what happened to me to be so cautious and suspicious of the Men in Blue. He was so perceptive so I told him my tales of my family owning apartment building in the Fenway. It was in the 50's through the 80's and my family was progressive back then. He understood. I feel really blessed to have known Bill and hear all his funny stories of being a cop. My favorite story that always makes me laugh is the time he was in the North End and asked his buddy who at the time was Mounted Police to ride his horse, his buddy says yes and off goes Bill on a run-a-horse and his buddy running after him yelling at him not to hurt the horse and Bill holding on for dear life! It cracks me up still! Every day at work Bill made time to visit and chat with me. Bill loved his family and would often chat about the chef, the doctor and of course the Fabulous Judy. Bill, to me, was a gentle soul with a great heart who always wanted to leave you with a smile and he did! He helped me change my view on a few things in a good way.

Dear Bill, No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you're always there. May the light of heaven shine on your grave.

With deepest sympathy and sorrow,
Deb Lynch
